	Festival In The Park - 61st Annual Charlotte, NC - Freedom Park Lake Show Dates: 9/19/2025 to 9/21/2025 www.festivalinthepark.org Festival in the Park September 24 & 25, 2015 Julie Whitney Austin Review by Inna Schoeler I was really pleased to come back to this show for the second year. Last year was the first time I had participated and I did well enough to return again... but this year surprised me by being better than ever and it exceeded my expectations. It turned out to be a very good show Last year I had a lot of people who were â€œthinking about buyingâ€ and to my delight, a lot of those â€œthinkersâ€ returned this year to buy. That rarely happens... but it happened here at Festival in the Park in Charlotte. I also noticed that there are a lot of returning exhibitors who I saw here last year so clearly they must have also done well enough last year to return too. If you choose to participate, be prepared for some long hours since the show goes on into the night until about 9:30pm. The show provides electricity (there is no extra charge), but you'll want to make sure to bring your own lights because those are not provided. The show is open both Friday and Saturday evening but does close early on Sunday. This year the crowd was great, there were plenty of shoppers, lots of buyers and all that was topped of with fantastic weather as well. Lots of my neighbors at the show were people I had met last year which always makes for a comfortable event. The selection of work was perfect fro me... there was a nice mix of high quality crafts along with really nice art and the two types of work each have their own area in the show so there is very little conflict and shoppers can go to the section they are most interested in. Everyone seemed very happy with the show. The organizers were very pleasant and professional, the sales were good for just about all the exhibitors, the load in was well organized and the show had plenty of little extras that make for a very pleasant experience. One thing I might mention is that there are actually two deadlines and if you plan on applying you should be aware of this. There is one deadline for the juried fine art and then there is another deadline for the crafts section. Just make sure that you are looking at the correct one so you don't miss out on the opportunity to participate because you missed the deadline
